Exporter Guides for the German Meat Industry: Dominican Republic, Cuba, Jordan and Lebanon markets

2022/01/17 | Research findings |

The Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL) has published export guides drafted by BERENT, which were prepared for the Federal Office for Agriculture and Food (BLE) as part of the export promotion programme. The Exporter Guides cover the overseas markets in the Dominican Republic and Cuba, as well as in the Middle East, Jordan and Lebanon. The practical reports are addressed to meat and sausage producers in Germany who are interested in exporting their goods. They illustrate all relevant trade, customs and food law regulations, as well as the most important local market data. The export processes are presented comprehensively, clearly and concisely, and all requirements for companies are explained in detail. Additionally, contact overviews list all important local players of the meat industry in these target markets.

In previous years, BMEL already published reports by BERENT on the market for agricultural machinery in Japan (2020) and studies on the confectionery and snacks market of Australia, Paraguay and Uruguay, as well as the Andean states Ecuador, Colombia and Peru (2021).

The four current Exporter Guides are available (only in German) on the BMEL website and can be accessed via the following links:
