WIPO PCT USS 2025/2026: 90% satisfaction among global users

The World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO) has published the results of its latest PCT User Satisfaction Survey that was conducted by BERENT. It confirms consistently high satisfaction levels among users of the Patent Cooperation Treaty (PCT) system. 

The survey, conducted in late 2025, shows that 90% of respondents are satisfied with the PCT-related services provided by WIPO. The results are in line with previous survey waves conducted in 2023 and 2021 and represent a slight increase from the 88% satisfaction rate recorded in 2019. 

The survey is a part of WIPO’s ongoing efforts to monitor and improve customer experience with PCT services. It was made available in all ten PCT publication languages and received more than 1700 responses from PCT users worldwide. 

Respondents also had the opportunity to provide written feedback and suggest areas for improvement.
