In-Country Desk Research Analysts (Freelance) Asian Markets

BERENT international research organisation is a provider of research based information and consultancy to both private and public sector customers in Northern Europe. Our head offices are based in Kassel and Vilnius.

We are currently seeking cooperation with in-country desk research freelance analysts to work on markets research projects for consumer goods markets in China, Indonesia, Japan, Korea, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam.

The successful candidate will be located in home country, must be able to work from home or his/her own office and have a PC (Windows) with a broadband connection.

Time commitments vary depending on the project. A minimum commitment of approx. 20-35 hours weekly is necessary for almost all our projects. The duration of a project is usually around one to two months.

Reporting to project managers in our Kassel office, the successful candidate will be involved in all aspects of the research process, such as secondary source information gathering, trade interviewing, visits to stores and data preparation/validation/analysis. Further tasks might include recruiting for and managing matchmaking events, as well as trade delegations visiting the target market.

Required Skills:

• Degree in economics, business administration or research.
• In lieu of degree, proven relevant market research skills and equivalent experience.
• Fluency in oral and written English and local language is essential.
• Familiarity with macroeconomics data and consumer goods markets analysis.
